What is companionship care?

Companionship care is a form of home care service designed for individuals who may be vulnerable to loneliness or have been grappling with loneliness. A caregiver will come to the individual's home, spending time with them to offer companionship and emotional support. 

 At times, the need for care and support doesn't revolve around intricate medical requirements or essential personal care duties; instead, it's about leading the life you desire, engaging in activities you love, and  maintaining a sense of humanity and ensuring enhanced quality of life 

Your companion is there to be a friendly face and provide fun, compassionate companionship throughout the week.

A companion can prepare your favourite meals for you at the times that you decide, and can also sit and share the meal with you.

As well as providing friendly companionship, your carer can also help out around the home with domestic tasks such as cleaning and laundry

 Whether they’re plumping your pillows, adjusting the heating or tidying things up, your companion can help ensure you feel comfortable and relaxed
